When booking a family session or any session in general, you typically have a vision in mind. 
Maybe you saw a friend's photo on Facebook or found inspiration through magazines, Pinterest, or Instagram. 
As your photographer, it is my job to help you bring out your vision to life {and to my camera}. 
So today's blog post is about deciding that ever so important question...
Do you want your session in your home or at an outside location?
Check out my reasons why both can be great!

Why would you love a session in your home?
{In-Home Family Sessions}

✔️ It's YOUR home!! It is your safe space where you've raised your children and gathered your family.
✔️ Having a baby! Allowing me to come to you just after giving birth is amazing!
Capturing that sweet bundle of joy in their nursery is such a memory to keep for years to come. 
✔️Maybe you just moved? Or your family is in a special season of life? 
Capturing that special time in your family's life is super important for you to remember. 
✔️For some children, meeting strangers {like a photographer} can be a little intimidating.
I always suggest your home for shy children who would prefer to be in their own safe space.  
✔️It's air-conditioned. Not joking! In-home sessions are perfect for the summer.

The dreaded thought that everyone is thinking....
What if my home is messy? Not good enough??

As your photographer, I guide you through helpful tips on preparing for your in-home family session.
As well, I go with the flow!! I have three kids myself so, I TOTALLY know what a home looks like. 😉

Why would you love an outside session?
{Outside Sessions}

✔️ If you are a fan of fall leaves or beautiful spring flowers, outside sessions might be perfect for you! 
✔️You are a lover of those beautiful sunlit photos! Bring on sunrise and sunsets sessions.
✔️You and your family love to be outside. Maybe there is a special memory or reason why you love being in nature. 
✔️ You can let your kids play! Let them run, play, and enjoy outside and I'll be right there taking photos.
✔️ You love exploring new places around Atlanta.
If you are the family that loves new places, being in Atlanta, or finding a new square, this session might be perfect for you!

So you love the idea of an outside session but not sure where to go???
Don't stress, I've got you!! Over the years, I've been to many places in
Atlanta and Douglasville and scouted the perfect locations for my sessions with my clients.
These locations each have their own unique style and are perfect with that sunrise or sunset times.
But I'm always up for a new adventure and exploring a new location with you if you have a special spot in mind.
