Everything you need to know about Maternity & Newborn Sessions

So if you are expecting your first child or your third child...this blog post is for you!!  Or if you just enjoy sweet family and baby pictures, this can be for you too.  I mean, who doesn't love swooning over baby photos?   I offer both maternity and newborn sessions to my clients and I wanted to share the options that I offer plus these photos of clients are too cute not to share!! 

Maternity Sessions 
This session can be done outside or in your home.  Best part, we plan it together with your vision in mind.  Just depends on what you love, the style for your family, and the time of year!!  Outside sessions can be urban, nature, or a fun location you might have in mind.  For in-home sessions, I describe these as a story-telling session.  It is more relaxed and if you have older kids, we can do fun activities to capture your family. 

Outside Maternity Session

In-Home Maternity Sessions
These sessions have my heart!  I just love being able to tell your story and capture your family in your home.  We plan it out together and what your vision is! And trust me, every single home is PERFECT because it has YOU in it.  So don't stress about the mess or the stuff around your home.  I have my own family {3 kiddos y'all} and totally can relate to a loved home.  I've got you!! 

Where do I photograph in your home for an in-home session? 
I get this question a lot!!  I typically photograph in your living room, bedroom, nursery, playroom, and I even use a kitchen.  We can capture your family snuggling together on a couch or bed as well as a fun activity like cooking or playing games!

In-home Newborn Session 
Now that you've had that baby, you need photos of that precious little bundle of joy!!  My newborn sessions are all done in the comfort of your home.  You might have heard this called "lifestyle photos" which is where we capture your family in a relaxed non-posed way!  Just like my in-home maternity sessions, we plan this together and work together to create the look you want! 

With your newborn, we capture all the sweet details along with snuggles with the family and parents.
We can use the nursery or where ever is the most comfortable for you at the time.

Interested in booking a maternity and newborn session? 
So you can book both sessions or you can book either one! When you do book both sessions together, you do receive $100 off your newborn session!  I typically schedule your maternity session around 30-34 weeks and place your due date on the calendar.  We schedule your newborn session between 8-14 days after the baby is born.
