Give Back Session {winner} I Douglasville and Atlanta Photographer

I want to say Thank You to everyone that entered a family into the Give Back Session. I was truly blown away with such love and support each person that nominated a loved one or special friend.  I realized after I blogged about the Give Back Session, that I did not need to be the one to choose.  Some of the people nominating, I knew or are clients of mine. Some of the people being entered I knew as well.  I thought it would be nice to include my photographer friends Mandie Newsom and Natosha Ledbetter.  They are local photographers here in Douglasville as well and it is great to have local support around you in this business.  They chose the winner together and they didn't miss a beat when it came to who the winner was!  

I emailed Melissa right away and asked if I could share her entry to the Give Back Session. She so graciously said yes.  Melissa chose her sister.  She wanted her sister to have photos since she didn't have any from her childhood. I know as a mother that I sometimes get carried away with the everyday life and forget to capture the memories on camera. I hope that I can help Christina by capturing some great memories on camera for her and her family.  Please take a moment and read Melissa' entry about her sister.  

I believe that my sister and her little family should receive the holiday session! 

Let me share a little about my sister. Christina, is my younger sister, and she is married with a one year old son. 
In May of this year we lost our mother. Although our relationship with mom was not perfect, she was still our mom. We recently went to her house to go through things to seek out pictures of our childhood as we had none in our possession. We found some pictures but unfortunately there were none of Christina. Since I can not recreate pictures of her childhood, I thought what better way to take the focus off of her loss--than by making memories of her precious family now! Christina has yet to have any pictures done other than James' birth pictures. I know she has intentions of having them done, however; with the recent stress has just has not done them yet. James will be a year old on October 7th and as we all know if you blink an eye they are suddenly a year older! 

I know from experience that Kirsten does great family photos and the pictures would definitely be something Christina could have and cherish as she captures these new memories with James! Thank you for taking the time to consider my input for the holiday session giveaway,
