This fall I wanted to continue my Give Back Session for the second year in a row. I was so humbled by the entries that were submitted last year. Everyone that entered a family member or friend was so sweet and thoughtful about them. I realized after receiving the entries that there was no way I could be the one to make a fair choice so I asked some fellow photographers to read each entry {anonymously} and they chose the winner. This fall I will be doing the same. My dear friends Mandie and Aubry are going to be the ones to choose the winner.

For those first hearing about the Give Back Session, I thought instead of finding a family to give back to , I would ask y'all to submit a family member or friend that you think should receive a free Fall Family Session.

Below are the details.

Submit an email at [email protected] with 300 words or less about a family or friend that you think deserves a FREE Fall Family Session {$250 value}. This reason doesn't have to be just a monetary reason. Why should they be treated to this session?
All entries are DUE by September 30th.
Lucky family chosen will be announced on October 5th!
All entries must live in the Atlanta area.

The Perry Family received my Give Back session last year because Christina's sister submitted an entry on her behalf. I had such a great morning with them last fall. Their session is still one of my favorites with all the fall leaves.

Hey Kirsten,
This is actually is funny that you emailed this out today! I had a girls weekend this weekend and my friend (which is a single mom for 15 years) told me that she hasn't had a professional picture of her son since he was an infant or even a family picture made. I would like to submit her name and hopes she gets it!!! Fifteen years is way too long not to have any professional pictures made. There names are Kim and Bailey Buckner.

I have a family who so deserves of a family photograph.
The Bright's
Dad - Chris - Works 7 days a week at Tip Top Poultry. He is a maintenance electrician there and he is extremely committed to doing his very best at work. He works long hours to provide for his family.
Mom - Holly - Works 7 days a week, at home. She is the best Momma I have ever known. She go to the ends of the earth for her family.
Drake -12 years old. 7th grade. Intelligent and amazing. His musical talents are undeniable. He has taught himself how to play the guitar. He can listen to music and then duplicate it on sounds alone.
Little Sister - Peyton - I have never seen so much attitude in such a little body. She has a thick southern drawl and is very inquisitive. She always wants to know why. Peyton also is a lot like Holly. She has the "little mamma" attitude down to a T.
Little Brother - Aiden - Almost 2 year old who stole my heart the first time I saw him. He has grown up in front of my eyes. He is a true boy. Always getting into things and all about the balls. He is always saying "ball", "ball". He will be a player for sure.
The Bright's have been a constant in my family's life for the last three years. I met them when my son Mike befriended Drake. We lived in the same neighborhood. About 4 months ago we moved into our new home, right next door to them. Living next door to our best friends is a true blessing.
The Bright's have endured a lot in 2013. Chris's sister was brutally attacked and killed in March. Holly's Mom lost her battle to cancer on Easter Sunday. Chris's Mom passed last month. They both have lost so much in the past few months. Family is so important to them and yet they have not EVER had a family portrait taken with them all.
I don't know how any family could be more deserving of this opportunity. I hope you choose them.
