Arizona Vacation Adventure {Couples Edition} Last month, we had an amazing vacation in Arizona!! My husband, myself, and another couple jetted off from the good old south and headed out west!! I thought it would be fun to share our adventures with you and how we ended up in Arizona. Of course I took photos and if you've been following me for a while, you know that I always use both my DSLR and my cell phone camera when on vacation. No shame in making it easy on myself when traveling for fun. So I hope you keep scrolling to see some amazing views and see all the fun we had! XOXO - Kirsten Omni Tucson National Resort. View from Bobs Steak House onto their golf course. Why did we choose Arizona?? Without getting a little bitter about 2020, our original vacation was planned for Scotland in March of 2020 but we all know why that didn't happen. Scotland WILL happen in 2022!! We brainstormed for a fun vacation in the US and was open to travelers. We also wanted a location that we all haven't experienced before that was TOTALLY different than Georgia. So we landed on Arizona!!! One of the best things we did was hire a travel agent. I'll share more about how awesome Heather is and her details at the end of this blog post! Tuscon, Arizona Our time in Tucson was filled with relaxing, golf, spa, and of course hiking!! We also had to taste their Mexican food a few times. The heat is totally different than the south. We just kept saying, "It's a dry heat!". Saguaro National Park Instead of rows and rows of trees, it was cacti! I've traveled a lot but it was so amazing to see how vastly different the desert was compared to living on the east coast. Tombstone, Az We decided at the last minute it would be fun to drive down to Tombstone, Az to see the Wild West and all its history. Including the O.K. Corral! It was fun and a tad cheesy! The drive was nice and beautiful to take in. Our time in Tucson was great! I would highly recommend our hotel; Omni Tucson National Resort. I loved that it was small and quiet. The rooms were more like villas with their own outside entrance. We ate outside for breakfast everyday and the birds were so loud and chatty! Next stop.... Sedona, Az Now, Tucson was beautiful but Sedona is breathtaking!! To go from the desert and then all of the sudden see these gorgeous red rocks is pretty amazing. We really had to remind ourselves that we were still in the same state! This part of our trip was a little busier with ATV riding, Grand Canyon tour, golf, and a Vortex hike! We all said that it would be worth another trip back to Sedona to see more. We stayed at the Amara Resort in Sedona. The photos here are the views from their patio and parking lot. It was pretty awesome to sit outside and take in the view. The resort was busier on the weekend and quieter during the week. Perfect for couples or fun with girlfriends. ATV Tour through Sedona It was an experience for sure!! Out of everyone, I was the only one that had NEVER done it but I can now say that I did it!! :) Our tour guide was great and made the experience that much better! Hummer Tour through the South Rim of the Grand Canyon We did a day trip to the Grand Canyon and decided on a guided hummer tour. It was great to have someone tell you exactly what you are looking at and the history behind it. It was so beautiful and looked like a painting. So glad we had great weather. Sedona Sunset Vortex Hike While the guys went golfing, we decided to do something we never could do at home!! Why not a hike, mediation, a little yoga, and learning about vortexes?? Oh boy did we learn all about them!! It was so interesting to learn about Cathedral Rock and how people believe that spiritual vortexes are present there. We hiked down to the bottom where there is a creek and then hiked back up to see the sunset go down over Cathedral Rock. A great way to end the trip! Our trip was amazing thanks to Heather with Simply Enchanted Travel!! Our experience on our trip was amazing due to Heather and her expertise!
