A Year in Review {2012} Douglasville Photographer

It has been an amazing 2012 for KLP and I first want to say thank you to each and everyone of you.  This business wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my awesome clients! That being said, I wanted to do a little "review of 2012".  I wish I could have picked everyone but I narrowed it down to just a few. So hang on and enjoy the photos!

Charlee started my 2012 right after the New Year.  It was so much getting out the backdrop and having a little 
cake smash fun.  

The Buck Brothers braved the January weather with me over Martin Luther King Weekend.  These boys were so sweet to come for pictures because their mom wanted photos.  She wasn't even there!  They were such gentlemen and we even snuck in a fun photo.  

Miss Avery was my first 2012 newborn!  Isn't she a doll?  Hard to believe she will be turning 1 soon.  

Gotta love the south because we had a mild winter and took my sessions outside in March!  Love Luke and his awesome red hair.  

I took Kerry's maternity photos just a few weeks before she gave birth to her sweet baby boy Nathan.  I loved her idea with the sonogram photos.  Such a creative idea that I give her full credit for!

Isla was my first "Out of Town" clients!  Isla's mommy is sister's with one of my clients/friends and they came down for a 6 month session.  Then this summer my family headed to the beach near where Isla lives! So I just had to meet them for her 12 month session.  It was so fun to have a photo session near the beach.  Hope to do that again soon! 

All time favorite couple shot! They celebrated 10 years of marriage with a photo session.

Being a family photographer, my newborns come and go and the spring and summer were busy! This sweet girl was my most awake little girl but we manage a great session. :) 

My family and I headed to the beach this summer and I was determined to get Beach Photos!  We had the outfits ready to go! I learned that I am not a beach photographer. I was so paranoid that I would get sand in my camera.  I also learned that no matter how hard I try, it is hard to be mommy and photographer. Whew! Once I was done, I took the camera right back to the car. 

I have to say that I am proud of this shot! Yes, the rainbow is REAL.  I have it on canvas in my house and people ask me that often.  It rained a lot and the rainbows were out a lot that week!

I did my first "Give Back" Session.  I asked clients and fans to submit entries of people they think deserve a session at no cost to them.  I had the pleasure of photographing the Perry Family!  Melissa nominated her sister Christina and family.  You can click The Give Back Session to read the blog post. Their little boy is such a cutie! 

Hayden was my last session of 2012. 
I love that his session was done on the grounds of my church {and Hayden's}. Such a beautiful fall backdrop.

On a professional level this year, I have networked and met other local photographers this year.  It is so nice to meet other photographers and not feel like their "competition".  I have blogged about Mandie Newsom and Nathan and Natosha Ledbetter.  We were so blessed to have them take our family photos! 

Just like you, I cherish my photos of my kids.
