Playtime with the Pringle Family {a family lifestyle session} Such a fun morning with The Pringle Family last month! When we planned their family lifestyle session, I just knew that it was going to be a BLAST! As you scroll, you'll see they have such a good time together. When I asked them what's the one thing they love doing together?? Baking cookies!! With a family lifestyle session, I do make sure to take family pictures! These can be in your living room, bedroom, or even on the porch. The Pringle Family told me they just renovated their kitchen and living room so this was a perfect place to take photos! Perfect timing right?!?!        It's PLAY time!! I ask all my clients looking for a family lifestyle session what they enjoy doing together as a family. So excited to share with you my Class of 2019 Senior Rep Team for Kirsten Lee Photography. These girls are AMAZING!! We had a blast last month with their Senior Rep Session. We survived the wind and enjoyed exploring Downtown Douglasville.  What do my Senior Reps do? These girls were selected to represent Kirsten Lee Photography by their submitted application and showing diverse participation in their high school and community. If you are a senior and KNOW them, ask them about KLP Senior photos. They may have a little something extra for you when booking your senior session with KLP.  Senior Rep Session We started our afternoon at Cothran Design Hair Studio with Sam and Amanda. The girls and I collaborated on an urban look to go with downtown Douglasville. They worked on their outfits and we shared different ideas. We then shared their outfits with Sam and Amanda for their hair and make up. We all LOVED how it all came together. Plus...it was FUN!! Who doesn't like to be pampered?!?    We headed to Downtown Douglasville and photographed around the Douglasville Conference Center and completed the session on top of the parking deck. Their smell, their small little fingers, their ten little toes!! I mean, how can you not melt the second you see one?!?! Jack was such a sweet boy and I just loved capturing this family's first family photo session. Newborn lifestyle sessions are sweet, full of cuddles, and telling a family's story. Shoot & Share Contest This year I entered the Shoot & Share Photo Contest!! It is the only FREE & FAIR photo contest in the world. There were OVER 400,000 photos entered in this contest and each photographer was able to enter 50 images. It was fun voting in all categories and see all the AMAZING TALENT! I had NINE IMAGES make it to the TOP 30% or higher! For my first time entering the contest, I'm pretty please!! Always a tad bit scary to put your hard work out there for people to judge and vote but it is something that makes you stronger. It was fun to see which ones made it farther and so excited to SHARE those images with you! Scroll down to check them out and to see where they placed in their category.  This amazing Fresh48 session landed in the top 10% of the Birth & Newborn category with a place of 2,154 out of 29,560. You should total follow my amazing client's blog and Instagram account!!! She is so stylish and seriously adorable.  This sweet boy's newborn lifestyle session landed in the top 10% of the Birth & Newborn category with a place of 2,131 of 29,560. He was just as sweet in person and just loved this family's newborn lifestyle session.  This sweet girl's Fresh 48 Session is super special to me since she is my niece!! This landed in the top 10% of the Birth & Newborn category with a place of 2,816 of 29,560.  This family is no stranger to my Facebook page as I've been using their images for my Spring Mini Session promotions. This image from their family portrait session landed in the top 20% of the Family Portrait category with a place of 3,072 of 26,963  Oh this family portrait session from last Fall just melts.my.heart!! And having photos with children and their Mama just melts it even more! This image placed in the top 20% of the Family Portrait category with a place of 3,121 of 26,963.  One my amazing Senior Rep Team girls landed in the top 20% in the Senior category with a place of 3,385 of 29,460. Her session was amazing and you should really click over and check it out.  Oh this might be one of my favorite maternity sessions to date. This mama was amazing!! Her image placed in the top 30% of the Maternity category with a place of 5,243 of 18,185.  Seriously think he could be a Gerber Baby!! His family portrait session with his parents was swoon worthy! Him and his daddy placed in the top 30% of the Family Portrait category with a place of 6,976 of 26,963.  Shoot and Share has a category for Creative/Personal Projects. It was fun to view and vote on all the amazing images. This image is of my son when we were on vacation in North Myrtle Beach. As any artist knows, it is fun to do something just for you. You better believe it's framed in our house too! This image landed in the top 30% of the Creative/Personal Project category with a place of 3,273 of 13,502. I know that may sound cheesy but it gives me chills when I take your photos and see it on the back of my camera. A Day in the Life {a family lifestyle session} Such a fun Sunday afternoon with The Haney Family a few weeks ago! When we planned their family lifestyle session, I just knew that it was going to be a BLAST! As you scroll, you'll see they have such a good time together. One thing I loved about their home? It fits their personality! fun . colorful . natural . family  Jennifer decorated her home with her mother. Her mother hand painted their family sign. Loved all their little touches including their love of cows.  It's PIZZA time!! I ask all my clients looking for a family lifestyle session what they enjoy doing together as a family. NEW YORK CITYcelebrating Payton's 10th birthday I shared a few highlights on Instagram earlier this week and thought it would be fun to share more in a blog post! I hope you enjoy a glimpse into our weekend celebrating our daughter's 10th birthday with JUST her parents. Yes, left her brothers at home with their Papaw. Our weekend highlights are geared towards a certain ten year old but if you've ever been to NYC, you know there is so MUCH MORE to see! ;) Oh and these are a mix of iphone 8 plus and my Nikon D700 images. Why?? Because I'm a mom/parent just like most of you and well, a phone is sometimes just easier!   Friday Up Bright & Early on a Delta flight to meet the traveling husband. Payton was a rock star at getting up at 4:30am.  Empire State Building First stop was food and the Empire State Building! We got special treatment thanks to a friend that works for Qatar Airways. A fabulous view from their offices on the 78th floor. Pretty amazing!! It was super windy that day and apparently you can feel it when you're that high up.    fun interactive street art Why not try it out?!?!  Dylan's Candy Bar & Serendipity 3 Dinner at Dylan's Candy Bar was SUPER fun! We ate in a cupcake booth and enjoyed all the yummy candy selections. We opted to spread the love in the area of sugar by getting dessert at Serendipity 3. Showing my age but LOVE the movie Serendipity with Kate Bekinsale and John Cusake. You must try the frozen hot chocolate!    Saturday How in the world do we have a 10 year?!?! Our Little Lucky Charm is officially TEN!  Shopping & Aladdin We checked out all the shops including the amazing Disney Store in Time Square. Birthday girl requested true New York style pizza so we ate Joe's Pizza. After walking off our food, we headed to see Aladdin. AMAZING!!! It was well done, funny, hilarious, and hands down worth every single penny!       The View Restaurant & Lounge We checked out the The View in our hotel. The restaurant rotates so you have a great view of NYC. Super fun! We enjoyed some cocktails and a kiddie- cocktail for the birthday girl!      Birthday Dinner Payton requested to dress up for her birthday dinner so we surprised her with a new dress! She loved it! {whew!!!} We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House. Our steak loving girl {all our kiddos are} enjoyed her meal along with some yummy dessert! On the way we walked by The Tonight Show and Radio City Music Hall.    Sunday On our last day we ventured over to Central Park for breakfast and being outside! However, it was the NYC half marathon and pretty cold. Whoops. We made it through the crowds and the sun {and coffee/hot chocolate} warmed us up!     Madison Avenue and {window} Shopping Our shop-loving girl wanted to see the "fancy" shops so we showed her! And honestly, I hadn't seen them either in NYC. It was a nice change of pace from Time Square and found a cute little french shop, Laduree on the way. Payton loves macaroons.    We walked our way back and stopped to see The Today Show! It was closed for the day but it's something we watch everyday so it was cool to see! Much smaller than you think.  Ended our time in NYC with a pretzel! What a great weekend spending time with our oldest. Hard to believe she made us parents 10 YEARS AGO! How lucky are we?? Hope you enjoyed a more personal blog post today.
